Poisoning with Soranjan (Colchicum): a case report

Introduction: Colchicine, which is derived from a herb called Colchicum medication used to treat gout. itself can act as deadly toxic in the case of over dose. This report study investigates patient who was poisoned with (Soranjan, what it Iran). Description: The 44-year-old man came emergency poisoning ward after day mountaineering and eating Soup. He had severe nausea vomiting. admitted ICU two days later general condition, complaining chest pain, nausea, vomiting shortness breath. lab tests showed elevated liver enzymes pancytopenia. respiratory distress developed physician intubate patient. treated antibiotics, GCSF for pancytopenia antioxidant protect liver. Conclusion: responded broad spectrum antibiotic, antifungal GCSF. paying attention patient’s history key success diagnosis.
